Call for Articles — Empirical Research in Science and Humanities (ERISAH)

We invite submissions of original empirical research that advance knowledge at the intersection of science and humanities. ERISAH is an open-access journal committed to rapid, rigorous, and inclusive peer review.

Submission Requirements

  • Article Type: Research article
  • Word Count: 5,000–7,500 words
  • Originality: Similarity index below 20% (Turnitin), excluding quotes and bibliography
  • Formatting: Must use the ERISAH journal template
  • Citation Style: APA format
  • References: Minimum 30, with at least 80% from journal articles published within the last 10 years

Editorial decisions at this journal are not based on the popularity of the research topic or its potential impact. All research must have a solid academic foundation; for research articles, this includes a scientifically sound research question, appropriate methodology and analysis, and adherence to community-agreed standards relevant to the research field.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking scholars committed to open-access publishing, data sharing, and academic innovation.
Ideal candidates should:
  • Have published at least 10 research articles in reputable, English-language, peer-reviewed journals
  • Have frequently served as corresponding author (first or last author) within the past five years
  • Possess verifiable expertise in areas consistent with the journal's scope and needs

Editorial Board Responsibilities

As an Editorial Board member, you will be expected to support the journal by:
  • Supporting authors and the journal through an inclusive approach: valuing quality, integrity, and relevance over novelty or potential impact
  • Periodically making editorial decisions on manuscripts after peer review; our publishing team can support you with reviewer invitations and managing reports if desired
  • Serving as an occasional reviewer for manuscripts requiring objective quality assessment
  • Promoting ERISAH within your academic community and network to raise awareness of the journal's publications, collections, and other developments
  • Inviting your peers to join the ERISAH community as editorial board members, guest editors, and authors
  • Attracting high-quality submissions to the journal by organizing special collections or occasionally submitting your own work
  • Providing suggestions on the journal's strategic development priorities and participating in community discussions, outreach activities, and board meetings when possible
